Jesyca Durchin co-founded Digital PlaySpace, Inc. in 2007 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Durchin has been a leading developer of interactive and filmed entertainment for girls since 1994. She is an award-winning producer of both interactive and 3D animated films for Mattel, and has been a key advisor to Disney Theme Parks regarding brand sponsored exhibitions targeting women.

As a producer, Ms. Durchin has created and produced games, films and rides for leading brands such as Mattel Entertainment, Buena Vista Games, Walt Disney Imagineering, Walt Disney Home Video, and Mattel Interactive. She has consulted with LimeLife, Inc., the only global publisher of mobile game and content downloads focused exclusively on the women’s market. Ms. Durchin has produced over 20 interactive software titles across multiple platforms for the girls’ market. In 1994, she began working in the entertainment software field with Viridis Entertainment and produced the CD-ROM title Eco East Africa (1995 Four Star Award of Excellence from Home PC Magazine). Eco East Africa received the Four Star Award of Excellence from Home PC Magazine. She also created and produced Barbie Fashion Designer, the fastest-selling children’s CD-ROM title in 1996. As a producer of animated films for girls, Ms. Durchin has led production of seven feature-length, animated Barbie DVD films.

Her first film, Barbie In the Nutcracker, a 3D animated feature-length film released in 2001, won Best Animated Video at the DVD Premier Awards and went on to be translated into 32 languages. Her 2002 DVD project Barbie as Rapunzel, featuring Academy Award® winner Angelica Huston, was also nominated in nine different DVD Premier Awards categories, and was a best-selling video worldwide.

As a script development consultant, she has worked for most of the major studios and spent two years working with Tim Burton Productions on such projects as Nightmare Before Christmas. She is an on-going consultant with Walt Disney Imagineering for the development and design of theme park rides and interactive attractions. She specializes in contributing ideas and concepts that appeal to women and girls.

Ms. Durchin has a degree in Business Management and Media from Loyola Marymount University.
