"THE CREATION OF A CHARACTER" WRITER'S WORKSHOP
| FRIDAY 1:00 | PANEL DISCUSSION ROOM | OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | FREE | Inventing a compelling character for the big screen
Join BSFF favorite screenwriter Janice Kennedy as she leads a workshop on creating characters for the big screen. Her session centers around a guided exercise of active questions to attendees that leads to creation of a character based on your answers. Anybody that is "afraid" of writing can do this exercise. After all, you're just answering questions!
Through everyone's input you'll then put hte character into a situation and create a movie scene.
The process helps attendees understand the basic building blocks of scriptwriting, and it's a session that encourages participation.
Janice will support the concepts using selected film clips from the holiday classic "It's a Wonderful Life."
