Director Biography - Matt Cerwen

Matt has directed a few shorts and a feature. Most notable is his 2013 Tropfest finalist short, "Inside". Sydney Morning Herald Film critic Giles Hardie wrote - "It was Inside that stood out from the pack, with a blend of colour, emotion and madness that was worthy of its Wizard Of Oz style final image". His favourite part of the film-making process is being on set and working with actors to bring the script to life. The most terrifying part of the process is when his films are screening to an audience. Matt enjoys the darker side of humour. He likes to surprise his audience and thinks of his film-making style as a mix of social observation, provocation, and pitch black (sometimes vulgar) humour. But that’s what he thinks.
