“Frank & Emmet” tells the story of two life-long friends and show-business partners who, after weeks of drifting apart, sit together to have a much-needed conversation. Their friendly dialogue takes a turn when they address head-on the one thing they’ve never talked about: One of them is a puppet.

Starring Paul Eiding (Ben 10, The Incredibles 2), Brian Michael Jones (Mank, Muppets Most Wanted), and Arabella Grant (Fuller House, Timeless). With original music from singer-songwriter Kyler England (Grey’s Anatomy) and Emmy-nominated composer Tony Morales (Elena of Avalor, Bloodline).

Carlos Fernandez Puertolas is a Spanish Director and Animator with over 20 years of experience in the film industry.

Like the protagonist of the film "Frank & Emmet", Carlos was an aimless teenager that with the help of his mom found his true passion. He launched his animation career at the age of 18 and got his big breakthrough when he was offered a position at Dreamworks Animation.

Without hesitation, Carlos packed his bags and moved to the US where he worked as an animator on movies such as “Shrek,” “Madagascar,” “Megamind,” and many others. In 2015, Carlos became the Head of Animation on the Oscar-nominated film “The Boss Baby” and most recently became the Head of Animation on the critically acclaimed franchise “Trolls”. Outside DreamWorks, Carlos also directs live-action short films through his production company Side Films, which he created with a fellow DreamWorks animator. Carlos' past short "Call Back" was featured on Short of the Week in 2013.

Carlos is well known by his drone racing pilot name, Charpu, and is considered one of the best drone racers in the world. Carlos is a pioneer in freestyle drone flying where he is revered for his freestyle tricks that in include corkscrews, loops, and his signature trick - the suicide dive. He has been featured in Wired and The New York Times, and his videos on his YouTube channel "CHARPU FPV" have amassed over 4 million total views.

Carlos has received several accolades and recognition throughout his career in Animation. In 2017, Carlos was named to Variety's 10 Animators to Watch, and in 2018 he became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Carlos currently lives in Glendale with his partner and tiny dog.
