Shot on Black & White 35mm and set in the 60s, BREAK is the story of a young drummer who is looking to calm his nerves in front of two veteran musicians and fulfill his dream of being a drummer in a jazz trio.

Sam Henderson makes up one-half of the filmmaking team, 4amtentrevival, and is a Theatre and Film Professor, professional actor and musician. 4am's previous short screenplay, Con Alma, placed in several competitions, including WeScreenplay's Diverse Voices Semi-finals. The completed short film made its debut at the Oscar-qualifying RSF Martha's Vineyard African American Festival and went on to screen at the Oscar-qualifying St. Louis International Film Festival. Their most recent short film, BREAK, made its World Premiere at the Oscar-qualifying Austin Film Festival. Sam's teleplay, The Walls, which is still seeking representation, was also a Second Rounder at the Austin Film Festival. Sam intends to direct 4am's first feature film. But they have a lot of work to do.
