Months after the attack on Pearl Harbor, a series of unidentified aircraft sightings over Los Angeles lead a determined journalist to reluctantly pair up with a Japanese American photographer to prevent another attack.

Director Biography - Luke J Salewski

Luke J. Salewski is a Los Angeles based writer and director, inspired by fiction and non-fiction stories of risk, adventure, and finding hope in the midst of darkness.

Growing up in Idaho less than a mile from the remnants of the Oregon Trail, he discovered a love for storytelling and filmmaking at a young age, enlisting friends to act in home movies. After studying film in Missouri at Evangel University, he relocated to Los Angeles. He found work field producing and editing unscripted content for Animal Planet, National Geographic, and others, taking him on wild journeys from haunted hunting lodges in the South to flying across the Hawaiian islands in a homemade airplane flown by a barefoot veterinarian.

His pursuit of writing and directing led him back to school and in 2023 he graduated with an MFA from the world-renowned University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. His work has screened across the country including his recent short, Fixer, which won the Best Comics Oriented Film award at San Diego Comic Con International 2023.

Salewski is fascinated by history, folklore, and grandiose stories that celebrate humanity. He is an avid snowboarder, skier, camper, world traveler, and musician.
