The Rain

The Rain is a 2D hand-drawn film that features a narrated poem written by myself, Kā'eo Luke. This film reflects on what it means to be alive day to day. The human connection to nature through the wisdom of the birds is explored and showcased through unique species. The spoken word can be interpreted differently between viewers and asks the question, "what does it truly mean to live and love to each, individual mind?"

Director Biography - Kā'eo Luke

Kā'eo ("Kah-aye-oh") Luke graduated from Laguna College of Art and Design with a BFA in animation May 2025. He was the first student to graduate from LCAD with two senior thesis films and was awarded the 2025 President's Thesis Award for his environmental film. His passion for conservation and the natural world has shaped a love for creation.
