Cookieman

Inspired by a recipe passed down through generations, a man known as Cookieman bakes cookies and rides his bike through Santa Barbara every day to share them with people experiencing homelessness, on a mission to make the world better, one cookie at a time.

Jorrit is an award-winning film and documentary director and producer originally from the Netherlands. He began his career at 18 as a radio producer and presenter before earning a bachelor’s degree in television journalism. By the age of 23, he was producing television shows for Dutch National Television and earned his first award for a music video featuring The Guardian Angels in Los Angeles, followed by a short video documentary about Mother Teresa in Calcutta.

Jorrit’s one-hour documentary about Colonel Tom Parker, Elvis Presley’s manager, premiered theatrically to critical acclaim before airing on Dutch National Television. In February 2023, his feature film Fair Weather Road premiered at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood and is now streaming on Amazon Prime. His 2025 feature The Golden Hours premiered in Santa Barbara to a sold-out 250-seat audience and went on to win multiple awards at international film festivals, including the Social Impact and Vision award for most inspirational film at the Ojai film festival.
