The Hoberg Resort / Hoberg Hotel, now THE PALMS AT INDIANHEAD was a major playground and get away for numerous stars from the Hollywood which include: CHARLES  LAUGHTON, ELSA LANDCHESTER, MARILYN MONROE, RAYMOND BURR, LON CHANEY JR., BING CROSBY, CLARK CABLE, AND many more.

Borrego Springs was the perfect get-away from the studio bosses.  The actors could actually relax and not worry about being called back to Hollywood at a moments notice. The Hoberg Resort was active from 1948 to 1954.

The 2021 Borrego Springs Community film, “A Gift For All Ages” used the Palms at Indian Head for their fundraising skit. It’s a fun homage to the golden age of Hollywood!
