Did You Know? 

Mr.  Gale  Gordon, the grumpy  companion/boss/business man role he played  on the LUCY SHOWS, and a noted  comedic character actor, lived in Borrego Springs from 1959 onwards till his death in 1995.

He was an Honorary Mayor of the town and very active in its development, narrating two development/promotional  films for the new De Anza Country Club development in the late 50’s. He was very active promoter of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and the local Chamber of Commerce
